C – Coffee Kieni Choclade Coated Liquorice
For a connoisseur, good coffee tends to be part of every day life. Lakrids C was created by request from our first mentor, Wolf Wallner. He thought that the blend of coffee and liquorice had two advantages: the liquorice is chewy and the coffee gets you going. Lakrids C is a sweet liquorice coated in a blend of milk, dark chocolate and granules of roasted coffee. Cocoa powder forms the outer layer and these are a good source of coffee all day long.

64% milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, cocoa mass, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavour), rice flour, invert sugar, sugar, treacle, 4% roasted coffee beans (Kenya, Kieni), 2% raw liquorice, glucose syrup, rapeseed oil, salt, anise oil, glazing agent: coconut oil. Minimum 35 % cocoa solids. Store in a dark and cool place.
Our liquorice is cooked with rice flour and is totally gluten free. The rice flour is completely taste neutral.

His mother had raised him to create something, not just something to make a living from, but something created from the heart. here was no doubt in Johan's mind. He loved liquorice and was convinced that a whole new world of pleasure lay hidden inside the crude and fibrous liquorice root. Liquorice could not only be used in sweets, but also in savoury dishes, baked goods, beer – actually this fine spice flourishes in many forms of food and drink. Johan dreamt of elevating liquorice to the level of a gourmet experience.
