John Masters Organics has strict guidelines, that all there ingredients has to fulfill to get into the products: No SLS (sodium lauryl sulfate), parabens, DEA, MEA or TEA. No GMO (Genetic Modified organisms). No petro chemicals (ingredients based on kerosene). No Testing on Animals. No artificial colors, fragrances or fillers.

Beside this all ingredients has to be as organic as possible. All plant extracts and essential oils should as far as possible be certified organic. The essential oils must be steam distilled and not extracted with propylene glycol. All plant oils should be cold-pressed and not heat-distilled, which destroys the plant oil's therapeutic properties. Not at least it is important, for them, that all the ingredients are proven beneficial for the hair or skin. All ingredients must be harvested in an environmental friendly manner (wild grown). All ingredients must be biodegradable if possible and then using Fair Trade ingredients where possible.
